At the 30th Festival, ensemble recherche – one of the leading ensembles for contemporary music, which also made some of its very first appearances at the Osterfestival Tirol (Tyrol Easter Festival) – will be playing works from Korea, Serbia, Sweden and Austria.
The sur.vival theme is explored in a wide variety of ways:

in this world and the beyond, in life and death, in redemption (Lisa Streich Fleisch), through the phenomena of time, process, change and corporeality (Milica Djordjevic Rdja/Rost), in the form of fragile pauses and ecstatic outbursts (Johannes Maria Staud Wasserzeichen etc.) and humble human existence (Younghi Pagh-Paan Wundgeträumt). – A unique sound experience.

"Sammelsurien" is a collection of music in which one can lose oneself. Perspectives change and release new connections. Voice and accordion become partners who play with words, rhythmically dodging circles, scrutinizing sounds, changing sides. Very different compositions, some proven in the repertoire of the avant-garde, others newly created for this project, invite the listener to contemplate: sometimes highly concentrated, sometimes digressive, sometimes fantasising.

The audience is allowed to indulge in these different stages of concentration. It is allowed to laugh, to think, to lose oneself - but only to be tied up even easier afterwards.
