Sammelsurien: Frauke Aulbert & Eva Zöllner

"Sammelsurien" is a collection of music in which one can lose oneself. Perspectives change and release new connections. Voice and accordion become partners who play with words, rhythmically dodging circles, scrutinizing sounds, changing sides. Very different compositions, some proven in the repertoire of the avant-garde, others newly created for this project, invite the listener to contemplate: sometimes highly concentrated, sometimes digressive, sometimes fantasising.

The audience is allowed to indulge in these different stages of concentration. It is allowed to laugh, to think, to lose oneself - but only to be tied up even easier afterwards.

I am delighted to have a chance to talk about my music within the series Lieblingsstücke at my former university:)
As part of a total of 15 lectures, members of the university and guests are invited to talk about music from the 20th / 21st century, that is close to their hearts or which they consider historically particularly important. In addition, composers are explicitly invited to present their own work using one or more examples and to discuss it with regard to significant influences and favorite pieces.

My second portrait CD is just released! We worked on it very hard and passionately for a year and a half and I owe A HUUUUUUUUGE THANK YOU to the fantastic musicians of the Münchener Kammerorchester - MKO, Ensemble recherche, Armida Quartett, Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, Clemens Schuldt and Peter Rundel for these breathtaking performances, Anselm Cybinski for such a great text and to Eckhard Glauche, Aaron Holloway-Nahum, Moritz Bergfeld, Michael Havenstein for the very nice recording and, of course, to the Ernst von Siemens Foundation that has supported and financed this wonderful CD!
