It is a true honour and immense joy to be this year's laureate of The Ernst von Siemens Composers' Prize!!!
This really special day, filled with music, strong emotions, thrills and exaltation was such a blowout, thanking to the amazing Truike van der Poel and ensemble recherche who gave a vigourous, expressive and inspired premiere of Hladan ti dah do grla, the new piece for mezzo soprano and ensemble that I wrote for this occasion. I am immensely grateful to the EvS Board of Trustees and the Board of Supervisors, for recognising what I do and deciding to support and reward it; to the EvS team who did a colossal job during past year (and a half) that resulted in such a glorious Awards' Ceremony; to Anselm Cybinski, exquisite music critic and journalist for writing so perspicaciously and beautifully about my work and to Johannes List for making this captivating portrait film (take a look!) |

Nothing less, I owe an infinite gratitude to my family and friends for supporting me, for believing in me and in my dreams (no matter how impossible and crazy they seemed) and for being with me on this adventurous journey no matter how difficult it was. THANK YOU ALL!!! (now I'm back to work! :))
